Guardian homes provide a forever home to our breeding prospect pups. These

are pick of the litter puppies that will enter our breeding program once they

reach 12 months of age and have successfully completed health and

temperament testing. A guardian program enables us to retain and share with

you the best puppies of a litter while ensuring that breeding dogs can also

enjoy being a much-loved family dog. Clairevale Labradoodles cover all costs

associated with health testing and breeding.

Our prospective breeding dogs are carefully selected as pups and placed in

approved guardian homes and live a normal family life except for short

periods. Breeding dogs come back to us, or our vet, for mating. Our female

dogs go back to their Guardians while pregnant, then return to Clairevale for

whelping and raising their puppies. The mama dog and her puppies stay

together in our home until the puppies are at least 6 weeks of age (puppies go

home at 8 weeks). Our stud boys only come back for matings, then back to

their Guardian families.

Guardians are responsible for keeping their dog in top condition by providing a

quality diet, training, exercise, grooming, vaccinations, vet checks, worming

and maintaining pet insurance.

Once our dogs complete their breeding careers (at approximately 5 years of

age), they are desexed and ownership is transferred to their Guardian family,

at no additional cost to their Guardian.
